We’ve [nerds in the room] all been there… one of your code files gets extraordinarily long and you are spending all this time scrolling through, looking for where you put those functions. I’ve gotten into the habit of leaving block comments to denote different sections in these kinds of files and today I was thinking… it’d be much easier to spot them if they were at least 10 lines tall! And my source code files would look that much cooler with some giant ascii-style words.

But I don’t have time to hand-craft giant ascii text for every section in every file. I looked to the Internets and I found something NICE. This ASCII Generator will transform your text into big block ascii text in a whole bunch of different fonts so now my code is looking extra stylish. It has an especially nice feature where you can choose “_all fonts with your text_” from the font menu and it will show you the results in EVERY font it has available. Its a good way to find the winners in the bunch. Personally, I’m going with “graffiti”, but “smisome1”, “puffy”, and “speed” were looking sharp too.
