Zodiac - Pacific

Been going on a space disco kick recently. Yesterday I found some stuff by Zodiac, a Latvian disco/synthpop band from the early eighties that became extremely popular in the USSR! When this particular track came on, it was instantly familiar to me and I realized that it is the source for the main sample that Luke Vibert’s Kerrier District 2 record is built on! There is another track on their 1982 album, Music in the Universe, that I recognized as the source of a sample on one of the tracks from Ricardo Villalobos’ Alcachofa. So there you have it… Zodiac… the secret weapon of the titans of electronic muisc.
